To increase the number of French-speaking candidates on rosters for UN Peace Operations, French is being included as a language requirement in all vacancies, which are also being publicized through Francophone social networks.

MINUJUSTH, the United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti, encourages Haitian nationals, an important Francophone talent pool, to apply.

There are currently 71 Haitian nationals serving as international staff in UN Peace Operations around the world, including 28 women. These numbers have risen quickly over the past years. Mali, the Central African Republic and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are the countries with larger numbers of Haitians serving in UN Missions.
