Closure of MINUJUSTH

The United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) completed its mandate on 15 October 2019, concluding 15 years of UN peacekeeping in Haiti. The United Nations family continues to support Haiti through the United Nations agencies, funds, and programmes in the country, and through the Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH).

In all fields of peacekeeping, women peacekeepers perform the same roles, to the same standards and under the same difficult conditions, as their male counterparts. Several members of the Police component of the United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) -Julia Pink from the United Kingdom, Mima Gentile from Canada, and Winifred Chigozie Ezeanyika from Nigeria-, share their experience as women in Peacekeeping.
